In March of 2016 I started a GoFundMe campaign to help raise the down payment for my home. Thanks to the support of many and creative problem solving I was able to stay in my house in a private to lease to own agreement with my ex-wife. My home is beautiful and my yard serene.I am grateful for all that I have and am looking forward to how I can continue to live my best life while being as generous as my heart desires in supporting others in doing the same. One of the few barriers I have to outrageous generosity is debt. The house I worked so hard to manifest and then keep after my divorce, and some medical bills as well as a personal debt, weigh on my heart and my budget. I have struggled financially because debts always come due and rarely at a convenient time. One of the few things that robs me of peace is that I am not as financially sound or generous as I know I can be.
In Auguest of 2020 I embarked on a journey to become debt free. Using the Dave Ramsey approach as taught in Financial Peace University , and teachings from other financial gurus including Suze Orman. I am working toward eradicating all of my debt and living a debt free and abundantly generous life. Once I achieve freedom from debt, I am freer to do more good works with my money as I live the life of my dreams.
I will send updates to my followers as I pay down my debt and increase my savings, sharing my process and the rewards of this practice as they appear in my ilfe. Many finacial gurus suggest that one use any legal means possible to pay down debt and getting rid of uncessary payments. For some, that means selling excess possessions, for others, creating a secondary source of income. Another technique that is encouraged is to find ways to raise money that they have left unexplored thus far.
I work full time and host Air BnB to support my day to day life. Selling furntiture seems counter-intuative for me since that would make it less comfortable for my guests. I dont have a car payment because I drive a 15 year old retired Post Office van, I had to consider other options.
Some of ways I am earning money to pay off my debt and increase my emergency and savings accounts is to become and afiliate and sell products or services that I use and believe in. I am an affilitate for Tower Garden vertical aeroponics produce growing system, Juice Plus Vitamins and Builderall Digital marketing Platform. I LOVE the product and appreciate the flexible shcedule abundance of support from my management team and thoroughly enjoy the presentations I do over Zoom. One of the other things I appreciate is that I get paid a fair wage whether or not the customer makes a purchase, so I can truly just relax and enjoy the presentation without worrying about the outcome. The shame and embarrassment about my fiancial situation , about the skills I didn't learn when I was young, and the action I didn't take to correct that when I was older, has at times felt debilitating. The time has come to take what used to debilitate me and transmute it into something that can bring light to my life and the world.
